Food Service Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Food Service Assistant in a residential aged care home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up each servery and dining area ready for meal periods in line with established standards.
  • Assist with meal preparation when required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of areas where food is prepared and served.
  • Monitor and record requirements of the Food Safety Plan, such as temperatures, cleaning schedules, receipt of goods, etc.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in providing catering assistance or hospitality is desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Australian Food Standards and Food Safety.
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and accurately and to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work as a team member, prioritise and adapt to various ways of supporting residents.
