Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled production engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the safe and optimal extraction of gold from underground mining operations.

This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of underground engineering principles.

Responsibilities
  • Production Planning: Develop and implement weekly, monthly, and quarterly production plans in line with operational targets.
  • Mine Design: Manage the design of stopes and subsequent drill and blast plans to maintain minimal dilution and maximum recovery.
  • Business Success: Ensure business success by developing, implementing, and recording mine information to ensure safe and economic target delivery.
  • Risk Management: Actively identify risks and threats to safely achieving targets and develop, establish and manage programs to ensure risk elimination/minimisation.
  • Team Leadership: Direct and lead all members of the production team and operational mining team and ensure goal unity through concise communication.
Requirements
  • A relevant degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.
  • WA First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency is desirable.
  • Supervisory or management training is highly regarded.
  • Experience mentoring and developing a team of mining engineers.
  • Solid underground engineering experience, with exposure to all production phases, preferably gold.
