Role Overview

We are seeking experienced allied health professionals to join our team as Disability Employment Assessors. As a Disability Employment Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting assessments to determine the level of ongoing support required by individuals with disabilities to maintain their employment.

About the Role

This is a contracting role that is well-suited to individuals who have a flexible schedule and are able to work on a part-time or project basis. You will be required to work in various locations across NSW, including the Central Coast, Hunter, North Coast, Southern Ranges, and Lower South Coast regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments to determine the level of ongoing support required by individuals with disabilities
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to support individuals with disabilities in maintaining their employment
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including medical practitioners and rehabilitation providers, to ensure comprehensive support for individuals with disabilities
  • Provide training and education to employers and other stakeholders on disability employment practices and strategies

Requirements

  • Diploma or higher-level qualification in occupational therapy, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, psychology, rehabilitation counselling, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in disability employment or a related sector
  • Strong assessment and report writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
