Forest Planning Manager

The Forest Planning Manager position involves delivering strategic plans for forest and wildfire management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee a team of planners in developing tactical plans, encompassing burn strategies, site operations, and task assignments
- Collaborate with the Regional Director to ensure local knowledge and priorities are communicated to inform operational planning processes
- Promote the district's interests within the Joint Fuel Management Program, Operational Forest Management Program, and other planning frameworks
The successful candidate will possess expertise in strategic planning of forest and fuel management programs/services, with experience working with planning systems, including FMS, eMAP, and ArcGIS. A tertiary qualification in natural resource or environmental management, or public policy, is highly desirable.
