Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

The ACT Health Department is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our Special Care Nursery team at North Canberra Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide advanced clinical care to neonates in the Special Care Nursery, working closely with medical staff, allied health professionals, and other nurses to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide advanced clinical care to neonates of all complexities, demonstrating evidence of advanced clinical knowledge and skill.
- Work as a clinical team leader, demonstrating clinical leadership skills and ability to practice and influence others within a professional and ethical framework.
- Accept responsibility for own actions in nursing practice, participating in professional development of self and others.
- Provide preceptorship and mentoring to less experienced staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
- Demonstrated evidence of clinical knowledge and problem-solving skills at an advanced level in neonatal care.
- Demonstrated clinical leadership skills and ability to practice and influence others within a professional and ethical framework.
