Community Support Worker Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Support Worker to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference in their community.

About the Role:

This role involves providing high-quality support services to individuals in their own homes. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with personal care, domestic assistance, and other tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with showering, dressing, grooming, and medication administration
  • Providing social support and transportation for social activities, shopping/groceries, and medical appointments
  • Light household cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
  • Supporting customers with complex needs
  • Monitoring well-being and reporting progress

Essential Requirements:

  • Caring and compassionate attitude
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication
  • Reliable and dependable

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Current First Aid certificate/CPR
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence
  • Registered and insured vehicle
  • Smartphone with internet access
  • Certificate III or IV in Aged Care/Home & Community Care/Individual Support or Disability Services
