We are seeking an experienced Geomatics Operator to join our team in Brisbane. This role offers the opportunity to provide valued GIS support to ongoing projects.
As a Geomatics Operator, you will be responsible for performing GIS assignments that meet project requirements on time and within budget. You will collect and analyse spatial data using GIS and Remote Sensing technologies, create and maintain datasets, maps, and other spatial products to support decision-making.
You will also analyse patterns, relationships and trends in data to support project goals and objectives, design and implement spatial models to automate and streamline geoprocessing functions, and provide specialised advice regarding best practises, cartographic standards and spatial data.
In this role, you will communicate effectively with the discipline team and project stakeholders, identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the areas of Oil & Gas, Mining, Infrastructure, or other heavy industries, and skills and experiences across ESRI ArcGIS for Desktop (10.x), Survey123, Collector for ArcGIS, Field Maps for ArcGIS, Python, ModelBuilder or automation/coding experience, and understanding of open-source GIS software.
