We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Plant Mechanic to join our team at Transdev Sydney Ferries. As a key member of our asset maintenance team, you will play a vital part in the maintenance and repair of our vessels.
As a subject matter expert, you will be responsible for maintaining all mechanical equipment, including diesel engines, gearboxes, clutches, couplings, bearings, valves, and pumps. You will work closely with our Production Managers to assess work orders and ensure the relevant equipment/parts are in stock.
One of the key aspects of this role is your ability to work in a multiskilled team environment and manage teams and projects effectively. You will also be required to attend to call-in duties for breakdown maintenance as required.
We are looking for a trade qualified Diesel Mechanic, Fitter Machinist, or Heavy Plant Mechanic with relevant experience and a strong understanding of engine rebuild processes. If you have a positive attitude towards safety and a willingness to learn and grow with our team, we encourage you to apply.
