Job Title

Job Description:

This junior to mid-level commercial lawyer will be responsible for drafting and advising on various client and commercial contracts, enhancing their ability to negotiate and manage complex agreements. They will also assist with legal matters including privacy and other regulatory issues, employment law matters, and investigations, disputes, and litigation as well as special projects.

The ideal candidate will have prior commercial legal experience, ideally in a private practice setting. However, prior in-house experience is not essential. They should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to develop their skills and expertise through research and analysis.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Laws (or Juris Doctor) and eligible to practice in an Australian State or Territory.
  • Likely suit someone with 2-4 years PQE (private practice experience will be highly regarded).
  • An interest in contracts/commercial law and maintaining a broad practice.
  • Research and analysis: ability to interpret the law and develop practical and commercial solutions.
  • Self-development: commitment to developing your own technical knowledge and expertise and legal skills.
