Manufacturing Engineer Role

As a manufacturing engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the design and production of cutting-edge products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes that meet the needs of our ambitious projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in engineering principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop manufacturing processes for high-rate production lines
  • Collaborate with design and systems engineering teams to optimize production efficiency and minimize costs
  • Develop a deep understanding of product structures, avionics, propulsion architecture, and system integration
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues and provide feedback to eliminate repeat problems
  • Interface with production leadership and technicians to ensure delivery of test-ready hardware on time
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (e.g., mechanical, aerospace, electrical)
  • 1+ years of hands-on engineering experience (internship and school project experience qualify)
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment (desirable)
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Passion for creating, tinkering, taking things apart, and building them again
  • Proven experience building complex projects from design to manufacturing
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively and ask questions to verify or defend rationale
  • Demonstrated experience driving significant outcomes and making informed executive decisions
  • Experience leading or working on an engineering competition team (e.g., Formula SAE, Baja SAE, RoboSub, Combat Robotics, Rocketry)

Additional requirements include physical dexterity, ability to work in tight quarters, and exposure to fumes, odors, and noise.
