Our organization is seeking an experienced Casual Parcel Sorter to join our team on the PM shift. This role involves loading, unloading, and sorting parcels for delivery.
The successful candidate will demonstrate accuracy in sortation, meet deadlines, ensure nil damage to freight, and maintain efficient stacking and wrapping processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Examine parcels and allocate them to appropriate areas for delivery based on postcode, destination, and branch
- Load and unload parcels from pallets safely following manual handling processes
- Complete and maintain parcel processing records and associated documentation
- Communicate with team members and supervisors to meet agreed schedules and escalate any issues related to processes, safety, and operations
Requirements:
- Experience in the transport industry
- Ability to adhere to WHS and Safety Regulations
- Excellent attitude, work ethic, and reliability
- High level of physical fitness and ability to perform repetitive lifting
- Great local knowledge of Melbourne and surrounding areas
- Ability to work unsupervised
