**Primary Care Opportunities in a Dynamic Team Setting**
- The Family Practitioner will serve as the primary care provider for a significant patient panel, upholding the standards of the New-to-Practice (NTP) Contract.
- In addition to general medical care, opportunities exist in maternity and palliative services.
**Collaborative Primary Care Approach**
We foster a team-based approach to primary care where our doctors work collaboratively with other network professionals to cover clinic hours and participate in community hospital care at Saanich Peninsula Hospital.
This team is part of a larger Saanich Peninsula Primary Care Network with additional resources – Registered Nurses, Pharmacists, Mental Health Clinicians, and Social Workers.
**Additional Responsibilities and Benefits**
- The Family Practitioner will be responsible for after-hours care for patients attached to them and other patients of the clinic. On-call duties are rotated and occur approximately every one in eight weeks.
- Patient home visits, Doctor of the Day, Fast Track Program, and Long Term Care visits are outside of this contract.
- The management of the clinic is provided by a non-profit organization that partners with interdisciplinary healthcare providers and the community to deliver patient-centred care, hospital/community continuity of care, education, and a healthy life-work balance for our team.
