Job Description
We are seeking a Primary Care Physician to join our team in Richmond North, New South Wales, Australia. This part-time position involves delivering primary medical care to Australian Defence Force personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality primary medical care to patients in accordance with professional standards and legislation.
- Be part of a multidisciplinary team supporting the health and wellbeing of Defence members.
- Assess Defence personnel for fitness for duty and provide care that supports health and wellbeing pre- and post-deployment.
- Provide medical technical advice to the Joint Health Unit (JHU) CO, Joint Health Command Health Centre Manager, and unit Commanders.
- Collaborate with Senior Medical Officers and uniformed colleagues to provide comprehensive care.
- Work in outpatient or inpatient settings as required.
Requirements
- Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Medical Practitioner, General in Australia with AHPRA.
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) OR Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) OR Vocational Registration.
- Minimum of 2 years full-time post-graduate general practitioner experience in a general practice setting within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent).
- Recent CPD activities in accordance with AHPRA.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
