Vehicle Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Fabricator to join our Locomotive New Build team at our facility in Newcastle.
About the Role
This is an opportunity for an experienced individual who can conduct detailed internal and external fit-outs on cabs and general maintenance, as well as servicing and general workshop duties.
- Cutting and installing flooring
- Installation of air ducting
- Installation of acoustic insulation, roof and wall linings
- Internal and external GRP panels
- Window installations
- Door assembly and installations
- Sealing and backfilling using Sikaflex products
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Australian recognised trade certificate and hold a Certificate of Proficiency - Carpentry Joinery, Shop Fitting, Shipwright or Vehicle Building
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable and punctual attendance
- General rail and locomotive experience is desirable but not necessary
- Commitment to a safe work environment and practices
- Ability to interpret schematics and production drawings
- Work autonomously and in a collaborative team environment
- Focused on quality work and delivering excellent customer service
- Forklift license is desirable but not necessary
- Work cover overhead crane licence desirable but not necessary
