Job Description:

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Disability Support Workers. Our clients require support with daily living tasks, personal care, and social interactions.

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide one-on-one support to individuals with high physical support needs, ABIs, and behaviours of concern. You will work in a mature all-male 1:3 SIL House in Clyde North, providing evening and inactive overnight shifts.

You will be responsible for assisting clients with daily activities, including meal preparation, hygiene, and mobility. You will also need to maintain a safe and healthy environment, administer medications (if certified), and participate in regular training sessions.

To be successful in this role, you must have at least 2+ years of experience working as a disability support worker. You should have experience working with adults and children with high intensity support needs and/or behaviours of concern. You must be able to evidence commitment to the role through ongoing personal development and learning, demonstrate understanding of compliance requirements and professional boundaries, and enjoy working as a team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 2+ years' experience as a disability support worker
  • Experience working with people with Autism/ADHD, Mental Health, Diabetes, Epilepsy, Intellectual Disabilities, Young Adults, Dementia & Advance Manual Handling Supports, Behaviours of Concern, Restrictive Practices
  • Cert III Individual Supports, Cert IV Disability and/or Mental Health Care Qualification, or equivalent
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, National Police Check, Vaccinations (including COVID), CPR & First Aid, right to work in Australia, 100 Points of ID, Driving Licence and access to a reliable car
