QIC Finance Solutions is a division within the QIC Group, responsible for providing finance-related advisory services and solution support across the organisation. Our team exists to support and maintain QIC Finance applications, enhance and deliver process improvements, reporting and analytics solutions, financial reporting, procurement governance, and technical accounting support.

Senior Data Analyst Role

We are seeking a result-driven, innovative Data Intelligence Specialist to source alternative datasets, develop data strategy roadmaps, and drive data integrity and insights for Finance. The successful candidate will be someone who actively engages with the business, with a passion for bringing data to life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Building logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders across the business to drive data integrity and develop and implement data strategy roadmaps.
  • Interrogating data to illustrate any anomalies, issues, and reconciling differences amongst datasets.
  • Validating data integrations to and from finance systems through the utilisation of appropriate tools.
  • Contributing to data mining initiatives and dashboard visualisation developments.
About You
  • You will have exceptional attention to detail, a curious and adaptable mindset, and proven experience building data models, automated reports, and dashboards.
  • You will possess strong financial modelling skills, with the ability to adapt and learn systems quickly.
  • You will be able to work in an agile environment with minimal supervision.
  • You will have experience interrogating enterprise systems, applications, and middleware processes.
  • You will be proficient in programming languages (Python, SQL, Java, R etc.) and Microsoft Office applications, specifically PowerBI, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • You will hold a degree (or relevant certifications) in data science, business/commerce, information technology, engineering, or equivalent.
Salary and Benefits
