Wildlife Gardening Ambassador

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Garden Guide.

As a Garden Guide, you will have the opportunity to visit home gardens across the Mornington Peninsula, inspiring residents to create wildlife-friendly spaces. Through these visits, you will help residents discover how their gardens can support the unique flora and fauna of the area.

One of your key responsibilities will be to prepare follow-up garden reports for residents, summarizing the key points of discussion and listing planting and wildlife gardening recommendations. Don't worry if you're not an experienced writer – we provide standard report writing templates that require minimal effort to fill in the gaps. We also offer training sessions to help you get started.

The Shire's Gardens for Wildlife program is based at The Briars in Mount Martha, and you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of plants and wildlife.

• A Working with Children's Check (no fee for volunteers)
• A Police Check (paid for by the organization)
• A Current Driver's license and insurance
• You must be willing to access various technological platforms, including Microsoft Teams and a volunteer management platform
