Compliance Specialist

Compliance Management is a critical function within our organization, and we are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our Risk and Compliance team as a Regulatory Breach Reporting and Compliance Manager.
This role will report to the Senior Manager, Compliance and be responsible for ensuring that our organization meets regulatory requirements for relevant regulators. The role will also provide compliance advice to ensure that our operations align with policies, procedures, and regulatory obligations.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Supporting the development and implementation of compliance frameworks, policies, tools, systems, and processes required to effectively manage compliance risks.
- Undertaking compliance assessments of incidents and breaches to support regulatory breach assessment processes.
- Presenting compliance assessments to relevant stakeholders and forums as required.
- Providing compliance advice, insights, themes, and trends to key stakeholders including boards, committees, and other forums in relation to incidents and breaches.
- Reviewing and monitoring compliance with relevant policies.
- Providing sound pragmatic advice, guidance, and support to business leaders on risk and compliance matters.
- Supporting Risk and Compliance colleagues across the organization.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a tertiary qualification in Law, Commerce, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field. Relevant postgraduate and/or professional qualifications are desirable. At least 5+ years of experience in a similar role or compliance role experience in the financial services industry is also desirable.
