We are seeking a seasoned Financial Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team in Oceania Finance. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional general accounting skills and have experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal audits.

Job Description:

This role is responsible for delivering high-quality financial reports, including monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations. The successful candidate will work closely with the Australian Financial Controller and Management Accountant to implement effective accounting processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of monthly financial reports
  • Financial accounting services, including journal processing, month-end general ledger close, balance sheet reconciliations, and tax support
  • Investigation and resolution of issues, implementation of processes, and internal accounting controls to prevent reoccurrence

In addition, the successful candidate will assist in preparing statutory accounts, BAS, tax, and FBT, as well as providing insightful analysis to support decision-making.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • 3-5 years post-qualification experience in a similar financial accounting role
  • CA/CPA qualification or near qualification
  • High-level numeracy and reconciliation skills, attention to detail, and accuracy

Experience with Excel, ERP systems (SAP or JD Edwards), budgeting, forecasting, and BAS/FBT returns is highly valued. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for making recommendations and providing advice to various managers and stakeholders.
