About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Risk, Safety, and Wellbeing function. As the Head of Risk, Safety, and Wellbeing, you will play a critical role in shaping the safety culture and direction for the Myer business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive safety strategy and associated processes aligned with organisational goals and industry best practices.
  • Lead the development of engaging safety training programs and workshops to raise safety capability at all levels.
  • Oversee an effective safety management system that meets regulatory and self-insurance compliance requirements.
  • Establish a comprehensive framework for the assessment of safety risks that identifies potential hazards and establishes effective control opportunities across all aspects of operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop proactive risk mitigation strategies.
  • Provide engaging safety performance reporting to the Executive Management Team and provide advice on health and safety issues, trends, and risks.
About You
  • Tertiary qualifications in health and safety, management, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive and demonstrable experience in successful development and implementation of workplace health and safety strategy.
  • Extensive management experience up to Board level.
  • Experience in Executive engagement with a high level of interpersonal, communication, influence, and negotiation skills.
