We are seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist to join our team at WSP. As a key member of our Contaminated Site team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-profile projects involving site investigation, environmental due diligence, portfolio assessment, and remediation planning and validation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct environmental field works, including drilling, hydrogeological testing, site validation, and monitoring.
- Collect and analyze environmental samples, including soil, groundwater, soil vapour, and ambient air.
- Develop conceptual site models and prepare detailed and concise field notes.
- Draft technical assessments reports and recommendations.
- Oversee contractors and ensure safe, compliant, and quality field works programs.
- Apply legislation, standards, guidelines, and project specifications.
- Prepare compelling proposals and lead projects to meet budget and strategic goals.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Guide, mentor, and inspire a team of consultants to reach their highest potential.
- Contribute to a culture of teamwork, innovation, and passion, promoting trust and unity among team members.
- Collaborate with the national team to execute initiatives locally.
- Manage small to medium-scale projects.
- Develop business development strategies and contribute to market action plans for targeted clients.
- Uphold a strong safety culture and champion safety initiatives.
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Scientist with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. You will have a strong understanding of soil contaminants, site sampling techniques, investigation methodologies, and remediation technologies for groundwater, soil, and gas. You will also have knowledge of NSW regulations pertaining to the management of contaminated sites and a current full Australian Driver's License.
