Job Role Overview

The Waste and Resource Recovery team is responsible for maintaining Council's facilities, including landfills. We require a Labourer to undertake general maintenance duties, operate machinery and perform vegetation clearing tasks.

About Your New Position

As a Labourer, you will be expected to maintain equipment, clear outdoor vegetation and transport materials. Having a medium rigid truck licence is desirable.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment.
  • Operate small machinery such as plant equipment.
  • Clear outdoor vegetation using mowing and whipper snipper tools.
  • Assist with transporting materials (medium rigid truck licence desired).
Qualifications and Experience Required
  • Hold an unrestricted C Class Drivers Licence.
  • Have a MR Drivers Licence (desired).
  • Possess a General Construction Induction White Card.
  • Hold certifications in operating machinery and power tools.
  • Have sound physical health to perform physically demanding duties.
  • Experience in maintenance and/or outdoor operations is required.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Self-motivation and ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
