Procurement Specialist - Government Projects

As a key member of our project team, you will assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies to support major projects across transport and health sectors. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure efficient, compliant, and community-focused outcomes.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies to support major projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure procurement processes align with organisational policies and guidelines.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Support tendering activities, including preparing documentation and evaluating submissions.
  • Provide advice to internal stakeholders on procurement best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier agreements.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contract terms.
Requirements
  • Essential Skills:
  • A solid understanding of procurement principles and practices.
  • Experience in preparing tender documentation and evaluating supplier proposals.
  • Experience in procurement within infrastructure or construction environments (Vic Gov experience desirable).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
