Job Overview

The Communications Director will spearhead our corporate communications strategy across Australia and New Zealand, focusing on showcasing our social and environmental purpose, expanding our communications program, and elevating executive leadership.

This role is a pivotal part of our regional leadership team, responsible for delivering campaigns that inspire people to explore the world and strengthen our reputation as the best travel company globally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a high-performing team and agency partners to deliver cross-functional campaigns that drive social impact, advocacy, and tangible outcomes.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy that showcases our brand story and values.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to advise on best practice, sensitive issues management, and crisis communications.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key media figures, publications, and influencers in ANZ.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years in a communications role, preferably with a varied background in an agency with international clients or in-house large international organisation.
  • Success with cross-functional campaigns that drive social impact, advocacy, and tangible outcomes.
  • Ability to lead brand advocacy and purpose communications.
  • Strong command of the ANZ news cycle, publications, and key media figures.
