Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Conservation Field Technician to join our team for a six month contract. This role will involve contributing to the provision of attractive, safe and well-maintained parks, public spaces and environment for passive and active recreation.

About the Position

This is an exciting opportunity to work with native plants and care control of natural areas. The successful candidate will have considerable experience in operating mowing equipment, hand tools and minor plant maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Contributing to the delivery of the City's sustainability program
  • Maintaining parks, public spaces and natural areas
  • Working with native plants and caring for natural areas

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management, Environmental Science or similar qualification
  • Experience working with native plants and caring for natural areas
  • Considerable experience operating mowing equipment, hand tools and minor plant maintenance
