About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic advisor to lead the preparation for Victoria's first Offshore Wind (OSW) auction. In this pivotal role, you will provide authoritative economic and commercial analysis to guide senior government ministers and executives. You will drive strategic planning, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure project alignment with DEECA objectives.

About You

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  1. Relevant Economic, Legal or Commercial tertiary qualifications, supported by transaction-leading experience as an expert in the energy or major infrastructure project sector, either within government or industry, are highly desirable.
  2. Deep understanding of the Victorian and national energy landscape, with an understanding of the regulatory frameworks and NEM.
  3. Experience in energy auctions or transactions is desirable.
About the Division

The Offshore Wind Energy Victoria (OWEV) division of Energy Group is responsible for supporting the development of a thriving and commercially viable Offshore Wind industry in Victoria. The division, in coordination with the rest of DEECA, and the broader Victorian Government, seeks to ensure a mature market is established to achieve the legislated OSW targets.

This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2027. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
