This 12 month fixed term contract involves overseeing community development initiatives, managing a small team of staff and volunteers, and ensuring alignment with strategic plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a small team of community engagement workers & volunteers.
- Develop and implement community programs addressing local needs.
- Conduct community consultations and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Prepare funding submissions and manage budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders and partners to enhance networking opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant legislation.
- Coordinate meetings and represent Catholic Care at community forums.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Welfare, Community Services, or a related field.
- 5+ years' experience in Community Services or a similar role.
- Proven track record in managing community projects and teams.
- Prior experience with funding submissions
- Experience in building and maintaining partnerships and networking with community stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong research, strategic planning, and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
