Software Development Engineer Opportunity

Canonical is seeking a talented software development engineer to join our team. As a member of our engineering group, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects and technologies, including open source software and operating systems.

This is a unique chance to be part of a global platform company that offers a variety of software engineering challenges in both open source products and commercial business systems. Our teams use a variety of programming languages, such as Python, Golang, Rust, C/C++, JavaScript, and Bash.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about software development and eager to learn and grow with our team. You will have the opportunity to work on projects that align with your interests and skills, and to contribute to the open source community.

As a software development engineer at Canonical, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software applications. You will work collaboratively with other engineers and developers to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Excellent programming skills in one or more programming languages (Python, Rust, C/C++, Golang, JavaScript, Java)
  • Experience with Linux operating system and open source software
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
