Support Worker - Child Care Specialist


Job Description:

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team in providing care and support to children in a residential setting. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with the support team to deliver high-quality care, promoting positive family relationships and a safe and nurturing home-like environment.

The role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, utilizing excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring that each client receives high-quality care, tailored to their individual needs and preferences. This includes creating and implementing person-centered plans, facilitating activities and therapies, and providing emotional support and guidance when needed.

Required Qualifications: Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential Care) or equivalent, Valid Australian full driver's license, Valid Australian working rights, Willingness to complete a Child Safety and Personal Screening Check, Hold (or obtain) a Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, First Aid and CPR qualifications.

Key Skills: Availability to work any rostered shifts across a 24/7 roster model, Passion for supporting young people with trauma and disabilities.
