The role of a Shipping and Receiving Specialist is crucial in ensuring the smooth movement of goods into and out of our facilities. This position demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments, including identification and damage checks.
  • Process and confirm receipt and shipping documentation for internal and external customers.
  • Handle hazardous materials according to regulatory requirements and validate Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for chemical shipments.
  • Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and operate warehouse equipment as needed.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Load and unload materials from delivery trucks, sort and reconcile shipments, and enter information into the ERP system.
  • Match paperwork to boxes and prepare orders for billing and shipping.
  • Schedule, track, and monitor both inbound and outbound shipments to ensure proper routing and storage of goods.
  • Assist other departments as necessary in researching transportation and delivery inquiries.
  • Arrange for cost-effective means of moving product to meet customer deadlines.
  • Participate in key projects to support continuous improvement initiatives.
