As a senior analytics professional, you will work with our team to protect and restore enterprise and financial reputation for clients. This role involves working as a consultant or senior consultant in the Forensics and Integrity Services department at EY.
- Use advanced data analysis tools to generate insights for fraud investigations, disputes, and regulatory compliance challenges across various industries.
- Work with the broader Forensics team and consult with stakeholders to develop forensic procedures, define measurable data metrics, and design investigative analysis.
- Extract, validate, transform, and load high-volume structured and unstructured data from multiple sources, including ERP and accounting systems, for deeper analysis.
- Develop algorithms, data mining, and data analytic solutions to assist clients in detecting fraud, bribery, and corruption, irregular financial transactions, anomalous employee behavior, and targeting error and waste in operations.
- Support senior team members in preparing and presenting client deliverables, including using visualisation software to clearly present the benefits of the analysis.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across various industries, leveraging analytics to transform and improve clients' businesses.
Required Skills and Attributes:
- Ability to communicate technical information in non-technical language and effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely present data, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Proficiency in data manipulation languages such as SQL, statistical techniques (regression, clustering etc.), and analytical and modelling tools like Alteryx, Python, R, or similar packages.
- Ability to hypothesise, analyse, and draw conclusions from financial and operational data.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Academic or professional experience in relevant technical fields like Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Commerce, Mathematics.
- Familiarity with data visualisation software such as Power BI (preferred) or Tableau.
- Understanding of Azure/AWS cloud computing platforms, commercial relational database systems, and enterprise software solutions.
- Knowledge of algorithms (Machine learning, pattern recognition, NLP etc.) and big data technologies like Spark, Elasticsearch, Hadoop.
- Working knowledge of financial processes and other business processes.
