Aged Care Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking experienced individuals for casual shifts in aged care facilities across the Bathurst region, NSW.

As an Aged Care Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of older Australians by providing support and utilizing your knowledge and skills where they're needed most.

  • Supporting the aged care community in the Bathurst region.
  • Working collaboratively with a tight knit team with supportive leadership.

This role is ideal for those who are passionate about delivering high-quality care and making a difference in the lives of others.

About This Role

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing direct care to residents in Aged Care facilities.
  • Assisting with meal consumption and monitoring nutrition.
  • Family and resident education.
  • Infection control and prevention.
  • Liaison with all stakeholders including residents, family, doctors and allied health.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Cert III in Aged care or Cert III in Individual Support or equivalent.
  • COVID Vaccination (including at least one booster).
  • Flu Vaccination.
  • First aid & CPR.
  • 6 months minimum full-time experience of working in Aged Care as an PCW in Australia.
  • Current Police Check (under 12 months old).
  • NDIS Clearance or willingness to obtain.
  • Reliable vehicle & full driving license or happy to take public transport to assignment (including flying).
