This hospital boasts a capacity of 300 acute care beds and is supported by a dedicated team of consultants, registrars, and RMOs. The facility handles approximately 25,000 acute care patients annually, serving a regional population of 160,000.

This role is based in a picturesque coastal city in Australia, renowned for its stunning tropical islands and a laid-back lifestyle. The city has a vibrant local community of over 60,000 residents, complemented by a regional population exceeding 120,000. The area features excellent infrastructure, including top-tier private schools, shopping centers, diverse dining options, and beautiful natural surroundings.
About the Hospital
The hospital has recently undergone a significant $408 million renovation and expansion, which has doubled its bed capacity and increased its overall size by 40,000m². This modern facility now includes a newly constructed Emergency Department, making it one of the largest regional healthcare centers in Australia.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess one of the following qualifications:
- Fellowship of the College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM)
- Completion of full specialist training in the UK, USA, Canada, or Ireland
- Assessment of specialist training by the FCICM, confirming comparability
