About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Specialist Employment Mentor to join our team in Geraldton. As a Specialist Employment Mentor, you will play a critical role in empowering prior offenders and Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander customers to transition into meaningful employment and achieve lasting success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide intensive mentoring to customers to help them achieve their employment goals
  • Develop and implement individualized employment plans to meet the needs of customers
  • Build relationships with local employers to secure job opportunities for customers
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to customers to ensure successful employment outcomes
About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference in people's lives and has:

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • A strong ability to engage with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders
  • Solid knowledge of the local labor market and employment programs
  • Experience mentoring Indigenous customers and working with prior offenders
  • A positive, outcome-focused attitude, even in high-pressure environments
Requirements
  • A Certificate IV in Employment Services or Career Development (or willingness to study)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and typing skills (minimum 30 wpm)
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for regional travel
