Manufacturing Specialist

Our organization is seeking a skilled Production Engineer to lead day-to-day operations and find sustainable solutions through problem solving and data analysis. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for designing drilling, blasting and production plans and liaising with stakeholders to ensure site requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop practical designs for drilling, blasting and production plans.
• Collaborate with frontline crews and planning teams to determine the feasibility of new ideas.
• Regularly engage in time-in-field activities to ensure safe and efficient drill and blast activities.
• Review drilling, blasting and production plans as needed.
• Conduct quality assurance and control monitoring for production activities.
• Undertake stope reconciliations and abandonments upon completion.
• Manage and monitor electronic blasting systems.
• Monitor and maintain quality data related to underground performance.
• Initiate projects to improve processes and practices.
• Support other mining engineering functions as required.
• Participate in incident investigations and implement actions to enhance site safety performance.
• Conduct task observations and critical control verifications as necessary.
• Identify, rectify and report hazards in accordance with site requirements.

About You:

• Experience working in an underground, hard rock, metalliferous mine environment.
• Underground practical experience completed.
• Proven ability to work independently and motivate yourself to achieve project outcomes.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships and work in high-pressure environments.
• Previous experience promoting safe production and processes.
• Well-developed Microsoft Office and Deswik suite software skills.
