Job Overview

This is a Permanent Full-Time opportunity to lead our team in Toowoomba.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Residential Care Practitioners and Youth Workers, coordinating the day-to-day operations of our residential care service for young people living out of home.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching and supervision to teams in alignment with the CARE model for practice.
  • Ensure our service is working in accordance with the CARE model, making a meaningful difference in the lives of children, young people and families by taking a therapeutic approach.
Key Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or Social Science.
  • Experience incorporating the six CARE Principals when supporting Children and Young People, or reflection on how you would incorporate these into your team's practice.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team that works with children and youth within a therapeutic care environment who have suffered abuse or neglect and are on statutory child protection or juvenile justice orders.
  • Current Blue Card (Working with Children).
  • QLD Driver's Licence.
  • First Aid and CPR Qualifications.
  • Willngness to undergo a personal history check under the provision of the Child Protection Act 1999 in relation to LCS2 screening check.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with young people.
