The role of a Pet Care Receptionist is crucial in ensuring a seamless experience for pet owners and their beloved companions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming dogs, processing bookings for grooming, daycare, sleepovers, and walks
  • Providing education, sales, and cross-selling of services to clients
  • Collecting feedback on customer reactions and comments about service standards
  • Achieving or exceeding customer satisfaction
  • Handling emotional or difficult clients effectively
  • Maintaining good communication with the team regarding front-of-house activities
  • Completing administrative tasks and reception area cleaning
  • Displaying knowledge of various breeds, health conditions, medications, diets, and retail items
  • Handling small and large dogs safely on lead

Ideal Candidate Qualities:

  • Previous customer service experience with strong time management skills
  • Desirable: dog training, daycare experience, vet nursing, or pet care training/knowledge
  • Excellent spoken and written English, computer literacy required
  • Minimum 2 years of service or animal industry experience
