Software Quality Assurance Tester

We are seeking a skilled Software Quality Assurance Tester to join our team at Greater Western Water. As a Test Analyst, you will ensure the quality of our technology changes by designing and developing test plans, collaborating with development teams, and developing automated test scripts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop test plans based on functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, or acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with development teams to prioritise and resolve defects, log defects and track progress, and retest resolved defects.
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts for using appropriate framework and integrate with CI/CD pipeline.
  • Continuously assess the effectiveness of testing processes and suggest improvements.
  • Identify potential risks in test coverage or project delivery and escalate them to relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare test reports, including test summary reports, defect reports, weekly status reports, and execution status.

Requirements

  • Experience with Test Management tools such as Xray/Jira.
  • Deep understanding of various testing methodologies such as manual testing, automated testing, and exploratory testing.
  • Experienced in API testing tools such as Postman and/or Karate BDD.
  • Experience in developing automated scripts for regression testing.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps (or similar CI/CD tools) to manage and automate test execution.
  • Ability to apply risk-based testing strategies to prioritise testing efforts.
  • Understanding of performance testing tools such as J Meter.
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in IT related discipline.
