Job Overview

We seek experienced professionals to undertake inspections of Electrical and Intelligent Transport Systems assets for roadworks projects.

The purpose of these roles is to ensure that constructed assets meet quality specifications & standards set by Transport and Main Roads (TMR).

Responsibilities:
  • Utilise comprehensive knowledge of TMR policies, standards, and specifications to inspect constructed assets.
  • Prepare written documents including daily diaries, submissions/reports, and test results.
  • Communicate with Contractors and/or Contract Administrators, Senior Engineers or Principals Representatives, and keep them informed of progress and quality of works.
  • Provide effective administration, surveillance, and recording of documentation generated during construction, including photos.
Key Requirements:
  • A minimum of 10 years' extensive practical experience in road construction projects, with at least 5 years as an Electrical/ITS Inspector.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Windows operating system, MS Word, MS Excel, file management, and email.
Preferred Attributes:
  • Must have a valid driver's license and own transport for commuting to sites.
  • Possession of a laptop and mobile phone would be advantageous.
  • Preferably residing in South-Eastern QLD or willing to relocate there; however, alternatives will be considered.

Working hours are nominally 40 per week, mainly day shift rosters, although this may vary depending on project demands.
