SharePoint Technical Specialist

This is a challenging role in the Customer Experience and Success organization, within the Customer Service & Support team. The specialist will deliver seamless support experiences using Microsoft AI technologies.

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Responding to and resolving complex customer technical issues by investigating and troubleshooting problems, collaborating with teams, and advising customers.
  • Leading readiness programs and contributing to knowledge sharing through peer delivery roles, technical coaching, and mentoring.
  • Developing technical proficiency to resolve complex customer issues through training and continuous learning.

Additionally, this role involves engaging with engineering and supportability teams to drive product improvements, such as developing automation techniques and diagnostic tools.

Key qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or a related field, accompanied by 3+ years of experience in technical support, consulting, or IT, OR 5+ years of relevant experience, OR equivalent experience.

Required skills for success in this role include:

  • Advanced SharePoint Online and On-Premises architecture knowledge, site collections, and permissions management.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint development, including SPFx, REST APIs, CSOM, PowerShell scripting.
  • Experience with migration tools and strategies, such as ShareGate and Metalogix.
  • Ability to perform performance tuning and diagnostics for SharePoint environments.
  • Knowledge of Copilot integration within SharePoint and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Graph API and data connectors relevant to SharePoint and Copilot.

This position requires flexibility in working shifts based on business needs and targets the New Zealand time zone with potential shift rotations.
