Job Description:

The role involves providing personal care, including grooming, bathing, dressing and toileting as appropriate to the client's capacity.

  • Personal care such as grooming, bathing, dressing and toileting as appropriate to the client's capacity;
  • Medication support and assistance such as medication reminders, support with Webster packs or insulin and blood pressure checks (with relevant training);
  • Community support such as assistance with daily community interactions and appointments, assistance with grocery shopping, attending outdoor activities and meeting up with social groups;
  • Transportation such as taking clients to medical or personal appointments, collection or drop off at services or shopping; and
  • Household assistance such as meal preparation, cooking of meals and general help around the home.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

Individuals must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be empathetic and able to build rapport with clients. They should also be physically fit and able to perform tasks that involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

  • Physical fitness and mobility to perform tasks involving lifting, bending and standing for extended periods;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including empathy and ability to build rapport with clients;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
  • High level of reliability and dependability;
  • Capacity to work flexible hours, including mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends;
  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record;
  • First aid certification (training will be provided if required).
