About the Role
This Housing Portfolio Manager role is responsible for managing a portfolio of properties and working closely with residents to ensure their homes are maintained and looked after. This will involve undertaking routine inspections, managing tenancy data on our databases, and liaising with external stakeholders who provide support services to residents.
As a key member of our team, you will be required to have previous experience in a similar role either in real estate or community housing. You will need to have excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, colleagues, and stakeholders while being compassionate and understanding.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a sound working knowledge of QLD Residential Tenancies legislation and Community Housing policy. Experience in tenancy and property management, as well as strong administrative skills, are also essential. Additionally, you will require well-developed written and oral communication skills, including mediation and conflict resolution, and the ability to work independently using initiative and modeling resilience.
We are looking for someone who is able to think critically and make sound decisions, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting regular property inspections, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring that all residents receive timely and effective support. They will also be required to communicate effectively with residents, colleagues, and external stakeholders, and to contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve resident outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
