About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Rehabilitation Psychologist to join our mental health services team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in improving the mental health and wellbeing of adults in custody, through evidence-based rehabilitation and intervention strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential harm to self or others
  • Provide education and training on mental health conditions and treatment options
  • Develop and deliver individualized interventions aimed at building coping skills and resilience
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of psychopathology and clinical assessment tools

About You

  • Experience in psychological assessment and intervention for adults with mental health conditions
  • Knowledge of risk assessment tools and rehabilitation strategies in correctional settings
  • Strong communication skills for engaging diverse client groups
  • Ability to apply research-based practices to offender rehabilitation

Requirements

  • General or provisional registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Behavioural Science
  • Compliance with National Psychology Board and AHPRA registration standards
