We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our production team as a Coatings Manufacturing Specialist. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of products and processes, utilizing your technical knowledge and manual skills to achieve high-quality results.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for operating plant equipment such as pumps, mixing vessels, dispersers, reactors, filtering equipment, and DCS computer systems. They will also be required to pack and unpack products to/from containers of varying sizes, ensure batch documentation, logs, and checklists are filled, follow operational procedures, and conduct quality control testing of finished goods.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate plant equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Pack and unpack products to meet customer requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of batch documentation, logs, and checklists.
- Follow established operational procedures and safety protocols.
- Conduct quality control testing and inspections to meet product specifications.
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in a chemical industry or similar environment is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Strong commitment to safety standards and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Good housekeeping skills with a focus on quality and systems.
- Able to work reasonable overtime as required.
- Certification or experience in complying with dangerous goods regulations and hazardous materials storage is a plus.
