About the Role

The Powder Coating Specialist is responsible for conducting surface preparation and powder coating of aluminium and steel product lines, working with our MailSafe, BinSafe & GarageSafe product lines.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain good communication with the supervisor of the powder coat area to ensure seamless production.
  • Meet time requirements for production quantities and quality through effective use of equipment and labour, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  • E nsure that the workspace is safe, clean and uncluttered, and plant and equipment are fully maintained to prevent accidents and downtime.
  • Abrasive blasting, stripping and/or solvent cleaning to ensure the surface of products is free of any oils, dirt or rust as required, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Pre-treatment during which the product is treated with a chemical to further protect it and improve the surface for powder coating, ensuring optimal results.
  • Ensure the quality of the products through visual inspection, meeting or exceeding quality standards.
  • E nsure that all assigned tasks are produced and completed in full and on time, as directed by Supervisor, prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • E nsure correct powder coating procedures are followed at all times, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Comply with all safety norms and regulations set by the industry, taking proactive measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Participate actively at the worksite to ensure production and productivity outcomes are met, collaborating with team members to achieve common goals.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, standards and guidelines, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Ability to follow strict instructions, work orders and production schedule, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to concentrate, multi-task and produce work with minimal errors, showcasing attention to detail and precision.
  • Good attention to details and works well within a team environment, valuing collaboration and open communication.
  • Current unrestricted Australian Drivers license, enabling you to safely operate company vehicles, if required.
