Job Overview

The role of a skilled Mechanical Technician involves delivering exceptional service to customers and ensuring their heavy diesel products are properly maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on heavy diesel engines.
  • Diagnose and rectify issues with Cummins engines efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain adherence to relevant health and safety policies, procedures, and legislation, reporting any incidents to the Supervisor.
  • Accurately document all work, including service records, warranty claims, quality forms, and system inputs.
Requirements
  • A valid driver's license and Australian working rights.
  • Qualification in mechanical trades as Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Mobile Plant Mechanic, or Light Vehicle experience with Heavy Diesel knowledge.
  • Cummins experience is not mandatory, but engine experience is highly beneficial.
  • A strong focus on workplace safety and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Apprentice-trained Engine Technician (desirable).
  • Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution.
  • Locally valid driving permit (preferred).
