Electrical Technician Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced electrical technician to fill this key role.

About the Role:

The primary responsibilities of this position include performing maintenance, repairs, and installations on emergency generators and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on emergency generators and related equipment, including diesel and gas engines, alternators, local and remote cooling systems, fuel transfer systems, generator control systems, and UPS systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Install and commission new equipment as needed.
  • Respond to emergency service calls in a timely manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support.
  • Represent the organization professionally at all times.
  • Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
  • Demonstrate a strong focus on health, safety, and environmental considerations.
  • Comply with all relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • A minimum qualification of Qualified Supervisor Certificate (Electrical) trade license is required.
  • Dual trade (electro-mechanical) certification would be advantageous.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the maintenance and repair of emergency generators and related equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites are essential.
