Job Overview

The role of a Senior Merchandise Specialist is pivotal in developing comprehensive merchandising strategies, analyzing their impact on product offerings and leveraging data insights to inform business decisions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leverage merchandising expertise to drive category vision and strategy, aligning with established guidelines.
  • Collaborate with key partners across commercial and Merchandising & Customer Value to deliver strategic priorities.
  • Partner with Merchandising Optimization teams to integrate technology in space optimization, particularly through Planogram Generator.
  • Provide critical analysis for strategic projects and categories to enhance customer shopping experience and store operational efficiency.
  • Utilize available data, demonstrating strong analytical rigor, to identify opportunities and offer actionable recommendations to buying partners.

Requirements:

  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and stores, coupled with a curious mindset to understand customer behavior and its link to commercial and space optimization outcomes.
  • Detailed attention to governance and validation of all planograms, along with a result-oriented mindset.
  • Clear analytical thinking, with the ability to break down information into component parts, patterns, and relationships.
  • Proficiency in interpreting data using Google and Microsoft suites (SQL and GCP desirable) to provide meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Experience in SAP and Blue Yonder (JDA) Space Planning with exposure to PG is preferred.
  • A track record of demonstrating proactive stakeholder management and networking skills.
