Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Anaesthetics team in a full-time or part-time capacity. Our busy theatre complex supports a variety of services, including ophthalmology, neurology, general surgery, ENT, urology, orthopaedics, gynaecology, vascular, endoscopy, and plastics.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of the perioperative patient, recognizing and responding to changing needs.
- Provide support for the safe administration of anaesthesia and back-up during critical situations.
- Care for patients immediately following anaesthesia or surgery, addressing potential life-threatening complications.
- Deliver high-quality care to patients and clients, providing exceptional clinical and professional support to the multidisciplinary team.
- Utilize clinical skills, education, and support to patients/clients, ensuring quality patient-centered care.
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Recent experience (1 year+) in anaesthetics or a postgraduate qualification.
- Advanced communication and evaluation skills, promoting patient care and safety, including critical problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of and commitment to quality processes, including policies, guidelines, and evidence-based practices.
- Ability to plan and coordinate patient care within a multidisciplinary team environment, providing outcome-based care.
- High attention to detail, ensuring accurate, timely, and confidential documentation.
