Job Description

Qube Bulk, a leading Australian mining and resources company, is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team at the S32 Cloncurry operations.

This role will oversee the effective delivery of haulage operations under our haulage and train load out contract, ensuring that work by Qube complies with all client, regulatory, and company responsibilities, including safety.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of operators in achieving daily haulage targets and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Supervise staff, providing coaching and advice to ensure they have the necessary skills to undertake tasks effectively.
  • Conduct regular on-the-job observations and provide feedback to employees to enhance their safety development.
  • E nsure adherence to QUBE Procedures and Policies, as well as those related to Client Operations.
  • Maintain vehicle and driver compliance with relevant HSE, Client, NHVR, and Qube policies and procedures.
  • Organize and schedule operators to meet daily haulage requirements and targets.
  • Manage production and mechanical break-down issues efficiently.
  • Provide comprehensive reporting to the management team on haulage achievements, challenges, and issues.
  • Offer guidance, coaching, and mentoring to site personnel, fostering a safe working environment and outstanding service.
  • Develop working relationships with key stakeholders on-site.
  • Show ability to work under pressure to achieve set targets and standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the Mining and/or heavy transport industry in a similar role.
  • Previous experience working in haulage and meeting production targets.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and leading a team.
  • Good knowledge and experience of best practices in mining and road transport operations.
  • Possession of Mining Supervisor S123 & G2 Risk Facilitator Qualifications.
  • Hold RIIVEH302E Operate multi-combination vehicle and RIIMPO304E Conduct wheel loader operations qualifications.
  • TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Optional).
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
